“Ciao a tutti!
Mi chiamo Malfred, ho 24 anni e vengo da un bellissimo Paese chiamato Albania. Sono nato in una piccola città nel sud del Paese e ho vissuto a Durres per 23 anni, facendo diversi lavori lì, incluso volontariato. Per anni ho cercato un’esperienza all’estero, quando finalmente ho trovato questo grande progetto a Belluno. Questa è la mia prima volta in Italia.
Sono contento di essere qui a Belluno: è una città adorabile in cui vivere, un posto tranquillo e pulito con persone meravigliose. Sono così felice dell’esperienza di volontariato qui e di essere utile alla comunità, specialmente quando si tratta di cibo che tutti apprezziamo essendo “Mediterranei”. Come saprete, la cucina italiana è protetta dall’UNESCO quindi è un privilegio e una responsabilità fare volontariato in questo campo. Io e il mio team proveremo a lasciare un segno riguardo lo spreco alimentare. Posso dire che finora sta andando molto bene e proveremo a divertirci assieme scambiandoci idee diverse e tradizioni culinarie. Al riguardo posso dire che il mio piatto albanese preferito è la torta di zucca “byrek”, che proverò a cucinare qui con tutte le mie capacità.
I miei hobbies sono fare escursioni e campeggio nella natura selvaggia e andare in bici. Sono sicuro che qui a Belluno ci saranno un sacco di occasioni per praticarli! Questo è tutto ciò che ho da dire per il momento ma sono certo che a fine progetto ci saranno infinite storie da raccontare!”

“Ciao tutti!
My name is Malfred, I am 24 years old and I come from a beautiful country called Albania. I was born in a small town in the south of the country. I have lived in Durres for 23 years now and I have done many different jobs there, including volunteering. For years I have been looking for an experience abroad when I finally found this big project in Belluno.
This is my first time in Italy 🇮🇹. I am glad to be here in Belluno, it is such a lovely town to live in, it is a quiet and clean place with beautiful people. I am so happy to experience volunteering here and to be useful to this community, especially when it’s about food which we enjoy so much as Mediterraneans.
As you may know, the Italian cuisine is protected from UNESCO so it is such a privilege and responsibility to volunteer in this field. Me and my lovely team will try to leave a mark here regarding food waste. I can say that we are enjoying it so far and we will try to have a great time together here exchanging different ideas and traditional food too. Regarding food I can say my favorite albanian dish is sweet pumpkin pie – byrek that I will try to cook here with all my knowledge about cooking.
My hobbies are hiking, camping in the wild and riding bicycle. I think Belluno there will be many occasions to experience these sports! This is all I have to say for the moment. I am sure that at the end of project there will be endless stories to tell!”
